Área financiera y digitalización
El Área financiera y digitalización efectúa el seguimiento de la coyuntura del sistema financiero, con especial atención al sector bancario y a los grupos de cajas de ahorros, y la transformación digital del mismo.
En esta área se realiza investigación de difusión internacional en sistema financiero, desarrollada por los investigadores que la forman y también mediante colaboraciones de los mismos con otros investigadores de referencia mundial. Entre las temáticas que más desarrollo tienen destacan la regulación financiera y bancaria y sus efectos, la estructura competitiva del sector bancario, los medios de pago a la financiación de empresas y el papel de lo financiero en el crecimiento económico.
El Observatorio de Finanzas y Tecnología (OFT) analiza la transformación digital del sector financiero más allá de la mera digitalización en una era donde la tecnología y las finanzas se integran de manera más compleja y profunda. El objetivo de este Observatorio es generar, acumular y difundir información sobre los retos y oportunidades que las nuevas tecnologías plantean en el sector financiero.
