Se inventarían los elementos más significativos con los que la pesca andaluza se integra en la estructura productiva regional, identificandolas relaciones entre ambas. Y con ello se determinan estrangulamientos y tendencias que, junto a las potencialidades, definen, delimitan y condicional el momento actual de la actividad. La bipolarizada estructura productiva -consecuenciadel aumento de flota artesanal, la caída de la semi-industrial y la continuada concentración en gran altura-, unida a mercados opacos, débil industria transformadora e insuficiente desarrollo acuícola, plantea un preocupante panorama queprecisa del consenso para acometer un plan de modernización integral tan necesario como urgente.

The most significant aspects in wich Andalusian fishing is integrated in the regional productivestructure are set forth, identifying the relations between both. This makes it possible to establish both the bottlenecks and trends which defien,delimit and condition the current situation of the activity, along with its potentialities. The bipolarized productive structure -the consequence of the enlargement of the craftfleet, the decline of the semi-industrial one and theongoing concentration on deep-sea fishing-, combined with opaque markets, a weak processing industry and underdeveloped fish farming, paint a worrying picture calling for a consensus in order to undertake an integrated modernization plan, which is not only necessary, but also urgent.
