La I+D en el sector farmacéutico español en el período 2003-2015

ES: En este artículo se definen indicadores de estrategia, recursos y resultados del sector farmacéutico. El análisis de su evolución en el período 2003-2015, y las estimaciones de las relaciones entre ellos, confirman: a) la gran repercusión de la crisis en la actividad de la I+D+I del sector; b) la importancia de disponer de estrategias estables y fiables para un uso eficiente de los recursos; c) la «continuidad» entre las fases de desarrollar nuevos productos, patentar y exportar, propias del proceso del «laboratorio al mercado»; y d) una «inercia» en el comportamiento empresarial exportador, algo menor en innovar y patentar.
EN: This article defines indicators of strategy, resources and results for the pharmaceutical industry. The analysis of its evolution from 2003 to 2015 and the estimation of the relationship between them suggest that: a) there exists a great influence of the crisis on the R&ED activity of the pharmaceutical industry, b) the importance of having stable and reliable strategies for an efficient utilization of resources, c) the ‘continuity’ among the different stages of developing new products, patenting and exporting: ‘from the lab to the market’ and d) an inertia in the export behaviour of firms, which is a bit lower regarding innovation and patenting.
