En este trabajo, se describe el concepto teórico y laoperatoria real de la financiación mediante capital riesgo en España. De igual modo, se ofrecen algunas cifras actuales sobre la actividad inversora del sector, identificándose las principales dificultades a las quese enfrentan los intermediarios por la ausencia de unentorno adecuado para su desarrollo.

This paper describes the theoretical concept and real workings of financing via risk capital in Spain. It also gives several current figures for investment activity in this sector, identifiying the main difficulties that intermediaries must cope with due to the lack of an appropriate setting for the development of risk capital.
