Pedro Linares Llamas

Pedro Linares Llamas is an Industrial Organization professor, at the ICAI Higher Technical School of Engineering. He is also director of the Energy and Sustainability BP Chair in. He is a co-founder and director of “Economics for Energy”. He is also a researcher at the Institute for Technological Research (IIT) and an Associate Researcher at MIT-CEEPR. He currently serves as director of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas International Doctoral School.

His lines of research are focused on the relationship between energy, economy and the environment, and more specifically, on sustainable energy policies, economic instruments for environmental policy and the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Also, multi-criteria decision methods applied to the resources management. He has published various articles on these topics in the most prestigious academic publications of his area. He has also participated in numerous research and consulting projects for public and private companies in Spain, Europe and Latin America.
