María Miyar

Degree in Economics at the University of Oviedo and Doctor in Sociology at the “Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia” (UNED). Since 2008, she is a professor at the UNED Department of Sociology II (Social Structure). She has stayed at the Inter-American Development Bank (Washington D.C.) and at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (Madrid). Her research is focused on the analysis of the working integration of immigrants and the determinants of migratory flows. The results of some of these investigations have been published in journals such as International Migration, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies and European Journal of Education.
