Ismael Sanz Labrador

Doctor in Applied Economics from the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). Extraordinary Doctoral Thesis Award 2007 from the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences (UCM). Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Economics I at Rey Juan Carlos University. Currently, he is also a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE) and a member of the Women in Social and Public Policy Research Hub (WISPPRH) at the LSE. https://www.lse.ac.uk/social-policy/people/visiting-staff/professor-ismael-sanz Chair of the Strategic Development Group of PISA of the OECD (November 2014 - July 2015).

He has conducted advanced studies and research stays at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand), New Zealand Treasury Department, University of Otago (Dunedin, New Zealand), Australian National University, Kennedy School of Government (Harvard), and the University of Nottingham.

He is the author of articles in foreign research journals such as Economic Journal, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics, European Journal of Political Economy, Public Choice, or IZA Journal of Labour Studies.
