Desiderio Romero Jordán

Professor of Applied Economics at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. He received his Ph.D. in Economics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His thesis, which analyzes the effectiveness of the investment tax credit in Corporate Income Tax, received an award from the Spanish Institute for Fiscal Studies. Research activity is mainly focused on the evaluation of tax reforms, both on direct and on indirect taxes. In this regard, he has developed several tax microsimulators for the Spanish Institute for Fiscal Studies and FUNCAS. His articles have been published in journals such as Papeles de Economía Española, Hacienda Publica Española, Revista de Economía Aplicada, Applied Economics Letters, Public Finance Review, Fiscal Studies, Energy Policy, Transport Reviews, Australian Tax Forum, Applied Economics, International Journal of Learning & Innovation, Journal of Transport Economics and Policy, International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy System, Bussines Strategy and the Environment, Small Business Economics, Technological and Economic Development of Economy, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Cleaner Production.
